Facets of Tulpamancy - Amalia's perspective

Image
Howdy there, Wombatants! Amalia here, and it's my turn to share some insights into our plurality and suchlike. (Took me long enough to get around to it, i know.😉) So, lemme get started right away with:   Part 1: -Being a tulpa- So, Michael told you some stuff about what it's like to be a host and creating a tulpa, and i figure i'll tell you what it's like being on the other side of that fence. See, on the surface, i don't think it's all that different from being.... well, human, i guess. Feels a bit weird to imply that i'm not, but i suppose it's technically correct. I'm very much a person, with my own thoughts and personality, and i'm certainly - part - of a particular human being, but on my own, i consider myself a thoughtform. Which i don't see as better or worse than being human. Just different. I'm quite comfortable with who, and what, i am. In any case, the first 1-2 years of my life are a bit blurry, because  while i had the inher...

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus - The U.S. Tour

Howdy there, fellow Wombatants! Amalia here, and yep, it's time for another game already! And actually, for the first time on this site, we're doing a follow-up! Because today, we're talking about.... Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus Well, there's plenty of good, bad and even a little bit of ugly to look at, so let's just start off with... -Graphics- Just like last time, the key here is vibes and art direction. It does feel like the game got a bit of a technical upgrade from The New Order, but once again, it's not that the game necessarily impresses with hyper-extreme resolution textures, gazillions of polygons or almighty ray-tracing. Instead, it's the art team that makes this game shine, with striking visuals and cool alt-history designs! In fact, it feels like this time, they went a bit further and really made a lot of very memorable visuals. Overall I'd say it's similar to The Old Blood, which also had a lot of strong eye-candy. So it looks good!...

Status Report #28: 19th of April, 2026

Good morning, fellow Wombatants! Welcome to another Status Report. It's Michael with you today, and we've had a rather-productive couple of weeks! But before we get into our usual program, let us update you on... -The Rebrand- Well, we've got our YouTube channels sorted now, with our new one being "Close Quarters Wombat" and our old stuff on "CaptainCasualMusic" YouTube wouldn't take just "Captain Casual" for some reason, but eh, we weren't picky. As long as we don't have two channels both under the same name anymore, it's all good. Our Spotify artist account login isn't available yet, as Spotify support actually reached out to us for clarification about our connection to CQWombat, and why it is that we should be able to manage both channels. Gave 'em that, but it'll probably take a bit. Other than that, well, most things are in place. The main thing we still need is a new logo and new banners, which we're workin...

Aquanox - Dredging up an ancient treasure

Image
Hello there, folks! Michael here. So, we've played another old game, and we've come back to tell you about it! This time: AquaNox A 2001 shooter of the 6-degrees-of-freedom-variety, set in a post-apocalyptic world where humanity has thoroughly messed itself up with pollution and nuclear war. In this particular setting, the survivors have fled into the depths of the seas, building a very cyberpunk-ish underwater dystopia. You could call it "Aquapunk", perhaps? Anyway. I didn't actually play this particular game as a kid. I - did - however play AquaNox 2: Revelation , which we eventually wanna get around to as well. But we figured we'd start here. The game that started this franchise was actually called " Archimedean Dynasty ". We tried that one as well, but to be frank, that game's aged poorly, we think. Couldn't get into it. AquaNox, however - has - aged fairly well, so here we are! So i'll give Amalia the floor and let her tell you about...
