Sketchbook Saturday #2

Hi there, fellow Wombatants! Amalia here, and welcome to our second Sketchbook Saturday! And today, we've got this to share:

So, we had this idea to just grab a number of everyday objects and sketch them, just for general practice. Michael started with our studio headphones in the top left image, and we immediately realized that drawing them at an angle was way beyond us.

Soooo he instead drew them as a flat representation (Which at least turned out quite well, we think!). And then, as you can see we pivoted towards practicing different perspectives, so we went a bit wild with boxes, and some pyramids for variety. Was actually rather fun to do!

As for the bottom right image...... well, to be quite honest, we kinda ran out of time, so Michael just quickly did a little stylized Agent 47, just for funsies. The neck's a bit broad and as a result, the proportions on the suit are off, but considering he threw it together in a hurry, i actually rather like how it turned out.😛

Still, we should probably do 1-2 sketches per week, rather than multiple panels like this.

-Or- dedicate more time to drawing, which would be quite nice. But then, we'd be missing that time for other projects, so yeh, gotta just do our best with what we have.😉

Anyway, that'll be it for this week's sketchbook Saturday! Again, these posts are meant to be small bites to share, not massive projects. We've got enough of those going.😜

See you next time, and until then, stay safe, draw some boxes and have a good one!
