Sketchbook Saturday #3

G'morning folks! Michael here, and welcome to another Sketchbook Saturday!

And today, we bring you this:

As well as our first non-digital entry!

So, a bit more perspective practice. We wanted to try and draw a face from multiple angles, but felt the need to ease ourselves in a bit, so that's how Amalia got the idea of using a balloon with a stylized face drawn on it. Means the shape is the same from every side, but you have to think about where the facial features go as you turn it.

And then down below, well.... at work this week, we stood in for a colleague who did his back in, and unfortunately ended up with an incredibly boring task that involves putting a workpiece in a machine, pressing a button and just.....

Waiting.

With nothing else to do.

So we -gave- ourselves something to do and did some doodling! With a ball-point pen, mind you. Which is terrifying, when you're used to digital! No undo button, no way to erase or paint over your lines. Very scary. But it worked out! Some more boxes and pyramids, and then "The Dork".

That actually came about because we played some Pistol Whip the other day and had this stuck in our head:

Yeh.

And because we were quite bored and..... ourselves, we turned it into a silly pun. Hooray!

But yeah, that's it for this week, folks. Until next time, our dearest fellow Wombatants, stay safe, be -very- afraid of the dork and have a good one!
